WordWeb Developer's easy to use components allow you to add great thesaurus/dictionary functionality to your applications. The COM components can be used from Visual Basic, Visual C++, Visual Studio .NET, Delphi, C++ Builder, and others. You can also access the database directly, so you can obtain return word types, synonyms, definitions, etc, programmatically. The Delphi Source Edition comes with full source code and native Delphi/C++ Builder components for full database access.

The thesaurus/dictionary component is quite similar to WordWeb 3, a free thesaurus/dictionary. Download a copy to see what it's like. WordWeb is built using the Delphi Source Edition of WordWeb Developer.

You can also download a demo of the WordWeb Developer components. The example includes a compiled test program showing a few of the things that you can do with the components. (You cannot write your own code with the demo.)

Thesaurus-dictionary SQL Database (MySQL and plain text)
